The book is a reprint of the rare album dedicated to the folk art of the Ukrainian Carpathians, which was first published in Prague in Russian, Czech and English in 1925-1926 under the name "Folk Art of Subcarpathian Rus'" (edited by S. Makovs'kyi). The album is complemented by a preface by famous Ukrainian art expert prof. M. Selivachov and by a geographic index.
