The book comprises some works dedicated to the last novel by the Russian outstanding writer Fyodor Dostoevsky “The Brothers Karamazov”, generally considered to be the culmination of his life's work. The first part includes the monograph “Poetics of the novel “The Brothers Karamazov”. The second part combines the articles that have already been published in scientific collections and collective works of the Russian Literature Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences: “Pater Seraphicus”, “Symbolism of numbers”, “The Ideal of Madonna”, etc. The third part presents a real commentary to the novel prepared for volumes 14 and 15 of academic complete works by Dostoevsky which was considerably enlarged and revised during the recent years.
