Efim Evgenievich Sorokin (real name Sergei Evgenievich Zhirkin, born 1961) was ordained a priest of the Russian Orthodox Church and admitted to the Writers' Union of Russia. Efim Sorokin was awarded the A. Solzhenitsyn Prize for the novel "The Pestilence of Job". In 2002, he became a laureate of the All-Russian Lermontov Prize in the Best Prose Work nomination for the novel "Enoch".
