The authors of the proposed research handled rich materials of archival documents, old publications, travelers' notes as well as data obtained in the course of expeditions to the villages and rural settlements of the Kama Region, which all resulted in the creation of a pioneer in-depth study of the history of fishery in the Perm' Region from ancient time to the early XXth century.
