The book opens up little-known pages in the history of the Finnish special services, their activities against the Soviet country - intelligence, support for separatists, exchange of information with the intelligence services of Nazi Germany. Intelligence activities in Finland were carried out by two organizations: the military intelligence and the central detective police (CSP) - the state police (VALPO). Chronologically, the scope of the monograph is designated - 1914 - 1939 - from the moment of the creation of the special services (1914-1917) and until 1939 - the beginning of the Soviet-Finnish war. Since 1941, the activities of the special services were reoriented towards solving military problems and significantly differed from their work in peacetime. The authors studied a wide range of sources, which were based on documents from the funds of state and departmental archives of Russia and Finland, many of them were first introduced into scientific circulation.
