Kresimir Bagic was born in 1962 in Gradiste. He completed primary school in Gradiste and secondary school in Ћupanja. He graduated in Croatian or Serbian language and Yugoslav literature in 1988 at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb, where he defended his master's degree in linguistics and poetic text in 1991, and his doctorate in stylistic and geneological aspects of polemical text in 1995. He was a member of the editorial board of the Student newspaper and literary magazine Quorum, edited the shows Bibliovizor and Dictionary of the Third Program on the Third Program of Croatian Radio, and headed the Section for Literary Theory for two years. From 1996 to 1999, he worked as a lecturer for Croatian language and literature at the Sorbonne. From 2005 to 2009, he led the Zagreb Slavic School. He edited the Palimpsest library at the Disput publishing house. He is the editor of Stilistika.org portal.
