The monograph is devoted to understanding the features of transformation of the genre of ballads in the Russian poetry of the late XXth - early XXIst centuries. The study examines the genesis, stages of formation and development of the ballad genre in the modern poetic process; reveals and describes the nature of its development in the work of poets of the "traditional" and "avant-garde" paradigms, analyzes in detail the poetological features of the ballad genre in these ideological and artistic paradigms.
