Dmitry is a well-known Belarusian poet, thinker, civic activist, author of ten collections of poetry, curator of the Pamezhzha cultural festival (Russian Borderlands) and head of the Minsk School literary project. Dmitry Strotsev is known as a spectacular performer of his poems (he calls his special manner of recitation "poetic dances") and a songwriter on his poems. For the collection of poems "850 lines" Dmitry Strotsev was awarded the Russian prize of the third degree in 2007 (nomination "Poetry"). The story of the creation of his book is told by the Belarusian poet Dmitry Strotsev: “The poem“ Father and Son ”was written as a voiceover for the cartoon. It so happened that the film was released without a voiceover, and I was left with a poem, one of the main ones in my life ... I always had the feeling that poems were asking for an image, that they needed a visual dialogue, because they were composed into a picture. And I decided on a book of one poem, on a book that will be directly drawn for "Father and Son".
Petersburg artist Tatyana Sergeeva undertook to write such a book - with paints on canvas ... And although the work turned out to be very time consuming, the picture-book came out as a result light and musical. "
