The monograph is devoted to a comprehensive study of the Dargin family and marriage in the 19th-20th centuries. The family community and family structure, intra-family relationships, wedding, maternity and funeral rites are explored, based on a wide range of different types of sources identified by the author. Particular attention is paid to the problems of transformation of family and marriage, which Dargin society suffered in the beginning of the 21st century.
