The author, colonel Roman Romanovich fon Raupach (1870-1943), played a key role in the organization of escape of general Lavr Kornilov from the prison of Bykhovs in November, 1917. This personality inspired the appearance of the white movement in Russia. The book contains the author’s original view on the history of Russia, as well as an analysis of the reasons, which led it to revolutionary changes at the beginning of the XXth century.
