Eugenia Gertsyk, the author of the book, took part in the famous Ivanov’s “Wednesdays”, religious and philosophical disputes. She contributed a lot to the Russian culture of the first half of the XXth century. She does not place herself as an individual independent from others in the focus of her memoirs, but the Age on the whole.
