The book presents the results of a specific literary archeology that Maya Angelova carried out among textual arrays, accumulated mainly in the first decade after September 9, 1944. More well-known or long-hidden stories about the Ninth War, about the Patriotic War, about the so-called partisan movement and other thematic fields reshaped according to the models of socialist realism. We are talking about exploded literature - a fragmented space without continuity, with rules introduced from today to tomorrow, with immaturity and lack of style, emanating from new or transformed authorial personas. The beginnings and uses of narratological structures such as "ritual fable", the creation of basic genre models of normative social realism, as well as the many overflows, but also interruptions between documentary, memoir and fiction, are traced. Thus the methods of narratology and anthropology enrich each other to create a new literary history that never forgets the existential stake - the human dimension of all writing, reading and silence. Maya Angelova is a doctor of Bulgarian literature, chief assistant at Veliko Tarnovo University St. St. Cyril and Methodius and a part-time teacher at the New Bulgarian University.
