In December 1999 a Republic competition "Holocaust as an Artist Sees It" was organized by the Republican Foundation "Holocaust", Belarusian Republican Foundation "Mutual Understanding and Reconciliation", and by the Public Association "Gilf" (Help). Many works presented by the beginners and professional masters were shown at the exhibition, which took place in April 2000. Its opening became a noticeable event in the cultural life of Belarus. The present album includes the best works of the participants of the exhibition, as well as the responses of the honorable guests to its opening.
