The monograph represents a piece of research on the distribution of the terminology of the Slavonic folk culture in the area of Southern Slavia. Investigation takes in terms and corresponding extralinguistic phenomena related to folk calendar, family customs and folk mythology. The study is based on the material of all south Slavonic languages; therefore the cultural-linguistic areas can be identified in the space of uninterrupted continuum. The book covers 47 ethnolinguistic maps showing the distribution of the names of folk fests and annually performed rituals, wedding and funeral rites, and other traditions of the Southern Slavia.
