In this study of Estonian architecture, the professional quality of design and the ability of architecture to reflect certain epoch are being dealt with. In the XXth century architecture a style is seen as a set of certain constructional, spatial and artistic devices, which in each period expresses certain social conditions, the financial situation and the mental outlook of the commissioner and as such carries a message. The material has been organized by architectural styles specific to each of the four political regimes in Estonia of the XXth century.
