The book contains a complex of 179 letters, most of which are kept in the Vologda Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve, representing the epistolary heritage of the Buldakov merchant family from Veliky Ustyug of the late 18th - early 19th centuries. Correspondence is accompanied by comments and a scientific and reference apparatus prepared by a team of authors under the guidance of Ph.D. in History, Associate Professor Fyodor Yakovlevich Konovalov.
