The yearbook presents data about the environmental expenditures (investments, current expenditures and expenditures on research and development) and the receipts from environmental protection activities in 1999. The data are given by fields of environmental protection activities (air, water and soil protection, waste management), by sources of funds, by enterprises' main economic activity and size and by regions. All economic activities with the highest burden to environment are covered. Comparisons are drawn with the data of previous years. Contains a summary of the methodology.
