The yearbook presents data on the anthropogenic pressure which gives rise to environmental problems (emissions into the air, waste generation, wastewater discharge, use and emissions of chemicals and ozone depleting substances, etc.) The emphasis has been laid on the year 2000. The comparisons are drawn with the previous years, other countries and targeds set in Estonian environmental strategy. The data are also provided by countries. Definitions on terms and short description of the methodology have been added. The information has been provided in overvievs, diagrams and tables. Published in October 2001.
