The monograph presents a comprehensive analysis of the legal, as well as a number of political, economic and social aspects of the energy transition - the main form of humanity's movement towards a low-emission economy. The analysis is focussed on international legal issues, but also touches upon certain issues of domestic legislation. Trends in the development of law regulating the dynamic process of energy transition are identified. Based on the author's concept of the model of integrated assessment of sovereign energy-climatic choice, the author considers the scenario of ‘green energy revolution’ (universal and rapid transition to renewable energy sources) and identifies possible alternative scenarios of energy transition.
