The almanac presents biographies of 27 energy researchers who put forward a number of fundamental ideas, the implementation of which contributed to the formation and development of Soviet energy, and some of them have not lost their significance to this day. In addition to documents from the funds of the Russian State Archive in Samara, the compilers used books about the life and work of scientists and their works (monographs, textbooks, articles), memoirs of their colleagues, publications of periodicals, biographical reference books, dictionaries and other literature.
