For many reasons, the first years after Poland's accession to the European Union can be called the "golden decade of Polish mobility". The gradual opening of the labour markets of Western countries, the freedom of movement around Europe, the rapidly developing network of cheap flights, and finally the dynamic development of internet communication - all this significantly contributed to the decisions to emigrate. Based on research conducted among re-emigrants from the Silesian Voivodeship, the book attempts to identify different dimensions of the migration experience.
