From 2000 this publication, forming a part of the Estonian current National Bibliography, is published annually. A bibliographic list 'Estonica 1999' (241 titles) constitutes the first part of it, including the foreign materials, which predominantly treat Estonia, Estonians, that Estonian language, as well as other ethnical groups and individuals living or have once lived in Estonia; which are based on Estonian-language originals; which include original works of Estonian authors or authors of Estonian origin in foreign languages. The second largest part of the annual publication consists of the cumulative indexes of the monthly publications 'Estonian National Bibliography: Books'. A separate part of this edition provides a bibliographical list 'Estonian National Bibliography: Maps' (177 titles) which registers on the national bibliography level cartographic items published in Estonia during 1999 as well as foreign cartographic materials from a that period on Estonia or in the Estonian language. Previously, cartographic items were registrered in a separate publication 'Eesti rahvusbibliogaafia: Kaardid = Estonian National Bibliography: Maps', covering the periods of 1988—1996 and 1997—1998 which are available. The publication also includes a list of of Estonian publishers with their ISBN and a progressively arranged list of the ISBNs of Estonian publisers. In the finish the edition provides statistics on Estonian print output of 1997—1999. The publicationes are described using the international standard ISBD (CM)
