Serials covers all newspapers, magazines and continuing resources that published in Estonia during 1999 as well as those in the Estonian language published elsewhere during the same year. It includes electronic publications on physical carriers and online publications that have ISSN. It also contains some periodicals that have been published earlier (1994—1998) and first reached the National Library of Estonia in 1999. The records follow the International Standart of Bibliographic Description for Serials ISBD(S). Serials also includes the ISSN Register and the Register of Names of publishers
