This book is about the dramatic destinies of two prominent figures of the Soviet period who influenced the history of the development of the North of the Far East. With the discovery of gold deposits by Yuri Alexandrovich Bilibin in Kolyma, the industrial development of a vast, previously undeveloped Russian territory began.
