Ferdinand Ruszczyc is a distinguished Belarusian artist, graphic artist, theatrical decorator and pedagogue, a bright representative of the realistic trend, the founder of the national Belarusian school of landscape painting. Traditions of Belarusian, Russian, Polish and French art can be traced in his work. The vast majority of works are devoted to the life and way of life of the Belarusian people, the beauty of nature of the native land.
The publication presents paintings from the funds of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus, art museums of Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine, photos from the private archives of the F. Ruszczyc family. An article about the life and work of the artist was written by V.I. Prokaptsov.
