The Duke Stepa Stepanovic belonged to the generation of rascals in Serbia that incorporated all his physical and spiritual abilities into the national liberation struggle of the Serbian people. From 1874, when, instead of clergy mantle, he trained the uniform of the Pythagorean Artillery School, until autumn 1919, when he was somewhat disappointed with some events, he irrevocably decided to withdraw from the active service, that is, forty-six years, he was fearlessly sniffing the thorny war paths of the Serbian army and tirelessly worked on the urgent peacetime training.
