The book contains materials from ethnographic and folklore expeditions (conducted in the Volgograd region in 1983-2017) from the personal archives of M.A. Ryblova, V.S. Kubrakova and V.A. Shilkin. These materials are recordings of oral stories of informants (born 1897-1952) about the wedding ceremony of the Don Cossacks, as well as recordings of wedding songs. The publication consists of three parts: publications of informants' stories, examples of songs and an audio disc with recordings of these songs. Readers are given a unique opportunity to join in the rituals and songs of the traditional wedding of the Don Cossacks.
