The book by Petr Guber “Don Juan’s List of A.S.Pushkin”, which has not been republished since 1923, today is recognized by specialists as the best study of the poet’s intimate life. The work is supplied with the extracts from the “Diaries” of a close friend of Pushkin – Alexey Wolf, last published in the 1920s. The “Diaries” are preceded by a little-known article of a famous specialist in Pushkin’s biography P.E.Shchegolev titled “Love Life in Pushkin’s Epoch”.
