The monograph reflects the results of a collective study of business documents from the fund of the Mikhailovsky village chieftain of the GAVO XVIII - XIX centuries. The book is divided into two parts. The first part contains a description of the genre parameters of documents and the means of their speech expression, as well as some linguistic features of texts. In the second part, cursive documents of the archival fund of 1734-1753 are published, comments are given to them, and the names and geographical indexes to the texts are given.
