The main problems hindering a further increase in the efficiency of development of the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Belarus are summarized; the goals, objectives and criteria for the effectiveness of the prospective development of the national agro-industrial complex have been determined; identified the main rice agroindustrial production and tools for their minimization. Developed proposals in the context of the complex, necessary for the development of key sectors of the agro-industrial complex - crop production, animal husbandry, processing industry. The main directions of the prospective economic development of the agro-industrial complex of Belarus have been determined.
