The edition contains papers of the round-table discussions concerning direct neighboring between Ukraine and the EU. The conference was held in Uzhgorod, November 2002. The participants of the conference discussed various social and economic issues concerning both actors, particularly further cooperation between the EU and Ukraine in the context of the EU enlargement, and the changed status of the western frontier of Ukraine.
