Ihor Kozlovskyi (1954–2023) is an outstanding thinker, religious scholar and public figure.
In 2016–2017, he became a prisoner of conscience in Donetsk for his pro-Ukrainian position: the militants there and the Russian special services held him captive for almost two years, subjecting him to interrogations and torture. The cruel enemies failed neither to break the prisoner's will nor to humiliate his dignity.
