This is a collection of articles marking the 60th birthday of award-winning Bulgarian novelist and essayist Emilia Dvoryanova. The articles, some of which are published for the first time, were written by critics, philosophers, sociologists, translators and musicologists from Bulgaria and abroad. The authors share their thoughts about Dvoryanova's novels and their encounters with her. Born in 1958, Dvoryanova is one of the most widely read and translated contemporary Bulgarian authors. She is a doctor of philosophy whose dissertation was about the esthetic nature of Christianity. Music, philosophy and religion intertwine in all her writings.
