This publication is dedicated to understanding the tragedy that befell Russia after 1917. General historical processes are shown using the example of the destruction of the Nikolo-Solbinsky convent in the Pereslavl district of the Vladimir province (now the Yaroslavl region) and the analysis of archival and investigative cases from the 1930s on Solbinsky sisters, clergy and church servants. The study is based on numerous archival documents and materials, and takes a multifaceted, deep and unconventional approach to the biographies of the new martyrs.
