The monograph is devoted to the topic of forensic evidence, which is considered from the point of view of current and complex problems of its legal understanding and practical application. The key concepts of forensic evidence are studied; the question of reliability and probability in proving, its correlation with formal means used in this sphere; algorithms of evaluation of evidence by the court; standards of proof in the criminal process in unity with the process of distribution of the burden of proof; the role and importance of operative-search activity for the subsequent process of proving; programming and algorithmisation of the investigation organisation on the basis of situational analysis; situational method used in the process of p- rinciples of the investigation; the role and importance of the investigation in the criminal process. The problem of admissibility of evidence is considered in relationship with the technique of making up for violations of the law committed in obtaining it, as well as with the evaluation of evidence investigated from the point of view of its legal force.
