The collection of articles includes the latest research and materials on the study of Russian culture of
the 16th–19th centuries based on archaeological data. The article considers the history of the formation and
development of the “archaeology of Russians” direction. The memorial section is dedicated to the scientific
activity of A. R. Artemiev. The priority areas were the study of costume complexes and economic activities.
It is particularly worth noting the publications of a methodological profile on the reconstruction of structures
and individual objects of material culture to obtain their authentic appearance, the use of methods of natural
sciences, the results of the planographic approach in the study of archaeological complexes. The book
includes studies of Russian and partially aboriginal cultures of the Modern period, carried out by Russian and
foreign scientists. These materials were reviewed and discussed at the 8th International Scientific Conference
“Russian Culture in Archaeological Research” held in Bratsk on October 20–27, 2024.
