The collective work analyzed the regional features and local specifics of the traditional domestic culture of the Volhynians against the all-Ukrainian, more broadly, all-Slavic background. A significant volume of field ethnographic materials collected by teachers, graduate students and students of the Department of Ethnology of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv has been put into scientific circulation. Based on the analysis of ethnographic, dialectological and historical materials, the exact boundaries of Volyn as a historical and ethnographic region of Ukraine were determined (a corresponding map was prepared).
