History of science and technology of Tyumen Region and biographies of outstanding engineers and scientists, who created an all-Russian and world authority of Tobolsk province with their scientific and technical achievements in the past centuries, are little known to a wide range of modern readers, especially young ones. The book tells about Tyumen people: constructors of river boats, electricians and mechanics founded electric power stations and pump-houses in Siberia, built "flying" tanks and reactive fighters during wartime in Tyumen for the first time in the world.
