PROF. DR. SC. TAMARA GAZDIC-ALERIC graduated from the Croatian Studies program at the Faculty of Philosophy and from the parallel journalism program at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb. She received her PhD from the Faculty of Philosophy in the field of humanities, branch of linguistics. She is employed at the Department of Croatian Language, Literature, Performing Arts and Media Culture at the Faculty of Teacher Education.
She has published approximately ninety scientific and professional papers, of which fifteen scientific articles in English in foreign publications, referenced in foreign bibliographic databases, and the scientific book Croatian in Use. Her scientific and professional interests are: learning and teaching the Croatian (standard) language, language activities – listening, speaking, reading and writing, language planning and language policy, functional stylistics of the Croatian language, media literacy, multimedia and new technologies in teaching the Croatian language.
