On April 1, 2022, Ukrainian writer, public figure and founder of the literary project "Spirit of the Nation" Iurii Ruf, who joined the ranks of the 24th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the first day of the full-scale invasion, died in the war with Russian troops in Luhansk region. It should be said that a number of collections of his poems were published during the poet's lifetime, including: "Crimson Lyric" (2012), "Time of the Revolution" (2014), "At the turn of the era" (2015), "Vanilla or steel?!" (2022).
