For the first time in the Republic of Belarus, the proposed publication provides an analytical and legal review of modern criminal and executive legislation of the states bordering the Republic of Belarus. The norms of the penitentiary legislation of the neighboring countries have been analyzed by scholars who are not only citizens of the respective states, but also well acquainted with the peculiarities of the national penitentiary law and penitentiary practice. In addition, the current norms of foreign penitentiary legislation are considered by these scholars in relation to the relevant provisions of the Penal Code of the Republic of Belarus, which allows us to see the advantages and disadvantages of existing penitentiary systems and practices.
It is intended for prosecutors and other officials of criminal prosecution bodies, judges, lawyers, employees of the penitentiary system, teachers and researchers of legal specialties, doctoral and postgraduate students, undergraduates, students and cadets of educational institutions of legal profile, as well as litigants.
