The publication of the first part of the dictionary and the preparation of materials for the second required the addition of the term "historical" to the title. More extensive materials than in the usual encyclopedic dictionary demanded an addition. The materials that will be published in this dictionary will give an expanded encyclopedic volume on the history of Crimea in the Soviet period - the time of reconstruction and functioning of almost 25 years of the region in state status. The dictionary will include the events of the transition period from the feudal-capitalist era, through the NEP (1925-1927) to the construction of a Soviet socialist society in the region. A special place in the dictionary is given to the period and events of the Great Patriotic War and the occupation of the territory of the Crimean ASSR by fascist invaders. The inconsistency of the socio-political
the behavior of the ethnic population of the peninsula led in May 1944 to deportations, in July 1945 to the loss of state status; at the beginning of 1954 - the transfer of the region from the RSFSR to the Ukrainian SSR. The collapse of the Soviet state management system allowed to recreate the Crimean ASSR, rename it to the Republic of Crimea as part of Ukraine.
