The reflection of banditry, which is one of the important problematics of social history, in literature, especially in novels, is a result of the close connection of literature with social history. The fact that societies wait for a savior and take refuge in a rebellious hero when they encounter existential dangers has kept the banditry phenomenon on the agenda throughout history. The bandits, who create their own sphere of influence in the blind spots of the laws, have led to the formation of two different bandit typings both in social life and in literature and/or novel, which is a reflection of social life. Social banditry, whose historical roots go back to Spartacus and Prometheus, and which has turned into a heroic epic with Köroğlu in our country, has enriched the novel world as well as illuminating important conflicts in cultural history with the theoretical contributions of British historian Eric Hobsbawm.
