The book represents the first comprehensive output summarizing the interim results from the initial two research stages of the VEGA project no. 2/0182/17 'Contradictions in the trend of employment against the backdrop of expected demographic and structural changes in Slovakia.' The aim of the project is not only to evaluate, but also to anticipate modifications of the qualitative and quantitative side of employment determined primarily by the expected change in the demographic structure of the Slovak population and changes in the nature of economic activities. Within this framework, the project has the ambition to offer proposals for the adaptation of institutional conditions so as to reflect future trends that will change the view of the traditional problems of the Slovak labor market.
