This publication presents an art study of artistic and curatorial practices of contemporary art in Belarus, conducted by candidates of art history, associate professors E. Ya. Kenigsberg and MG Borozna. The authors focus on key events in contemporary Belarusian art: from the projects of the Sixth Line Gallery, which exhibited works by the Belarusian underground and representatives of the Minsk School of Creative Photography from 1992 to 1998, to the Exit project in the pavilion of the Republic of Belarus at the 58th Venice Biennale in 2019.
Each of the chapters is an interesting story about interesting personalities and the main trends in the formation and development of contemporary art in Belarus. Illustrations give the chance of visual perception of expositions of exhibitions and works of artists.
