The book contains research works and materials devoted to teaching methods and methodology concerning different aspects of constructing masculinity in Russia and in the West. There are articles of Russian authors, programmes of the courses, translations of works of famous Western specialists in men's studies - Canadian psychologist M. Kaufman and American sociologist M. Kimmel. The large part of the book consists of the materials elaborated during the project "Masculinity in Russian Provincial City: Research and Development", carried out with the financial support of the Canadian Fund for Gender Equality.
