The monograph explores the oversight of the conformity of a country's laws to its Constitution and the functions of the Constitutional Court, the institution which, in many countries, exercises such oversight. The study covers 22 European countries and the United States. It offers an in-depth analysis of Bulgarian legislation and the characteristics and powers of Bulgaria's Constitutional Court, and also shows how these matters are regulated in Greece. The author concludes that Greece, too, needs to have a Constitutional Court and can use European and Bulgarian expertise for its establishment.
