The book features fables and articles written by Bulgarian journalist, literary critic and poet Petar Goryanski between 1945 and 1949, in the early years of the communist era. Many of them were published in the opposition Social Democratic newspaper "Svoboden Narod" ("Free People") but others remained unpublished in the author's archive. The present edition includes the book "Rally" (1947), which consists of 27 fables. The other items (29 fables and 113 articles, reviews and notes) in this compilation are coming out in book form for the first time. The compilation presents a detailed picture of Goryanski's opposition writings in the watershed period when the Kingdom of Bulgaria was superseded by the People's Republic.
