The fifth volume of the memory book narrates about political deportations of 1940-1941 from the West Ukraine and the West Belarus being a part of Poland and annexed to the USSR in 1939. The first part is concerned with the events of 1939 that caused the aggression of Germany and the USSR against Poland and triggered forced abolition of Polish statehood; it sheds light upon Poland citizens' deportations to the Komi ASSR and their lives there until 1941. The second part offers lists of the deported Poles, Jews, and Ukrainians according to the archival materials of Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Komi Republic. The third part discloses lists of those Poles and Jews who died in the Komi ASSR within 1940-1944.
