The monograph contains the results of many years of research on the state of atmospheric air, water, soil, public health, natural landscape peculiarities of the municipalities of the Ulyanovsk region. As a result of the research, for the first time, a comprehensive assessment of the region’s environment was carried out, taking into account environmental pollution, the natural landscape features of the territory and the biological effects of anthropogenic pollution on the population to manage the environmental situation of the region.
